Hero Call ("we," "us") is a parenting tool that lets a parent trigger a surprise call from an original hero character to encourage their child's good behavior. Hero Call is developed and published by Nidal A. M. Alshawwaf (Play Console developer name: Nidal alshawwaf), based in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates — the same developer/legal entity listed on Hero Call's Google Play store listing. This policy explains what we collect, why, and — just as importantly — what we deliberately do not collect.
Who uses this app
Hero Call is intended for use by parents/guardians, not by children directly. Every call is triggered by the parent; a child never signs in, creates an account, or uses the app on their own.
Information we collect (about the parent account)
- Name and email address — via Google Sign-In, the only way to create an account. We never see or store your Google password.
- Purchase history — which credit packs you've bought, so your balance and receipts stay accurate. Payment itself (card details) is handled entirely by Google Play; we never see or store payment card information.
- Custom hero characters you generate — the character's name, art, and voice/personality settings. Not anything about your child.
What we deliberately do NOT collect
Your child's name, age, or any profile information is stored only on your device — never on our servers, never backed up to the cloud (explicitly excluded from Android's backup system). The short note you can add before a call ("working on sharing today") is used only for that single call and is not saved afterward. We do not build a behavioral profile of your child.
Voice calls
During a call, audio is processed in real time by our AI voice provider (OpenAI) to power the hero character's conversation. This audio is transmitted for the purpose of conducting that call; the audio itself is not stored by Hero Call afterward. Our provider's own handling of that data during processing is governed by their privacy policy — see https://openai.com/policies/privacy-policy.
Separately, an automated safety check reviews a text transcript of each turn of the conversation as it happens. In the large majority of calls, nothing is stored from this check at all. If — and only if — the check flags a turn as high-risk or an emergency (for example, language suggesting the child may be unsafe), we save the text of that specific moment so you, the parent, can see exactly what was said. Every other turn is discarded immediately after the check completes.
How we use what we collect
- To operate your account and remember your credit balance.
- To process credit-pack purchases via Google Play Billing.
- To generate and store custom hero characters you've paid for.
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your data to third parties.
Third-party services we use
- Google Sign-In — authentication.
- Google Play Billing — payment processing.
- OpenAI — real-time voice processing during a call.
- Firebase — crash reporting and basic app analytics (parent-account-level only, never anything about a child).
Your rights
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data (purchase history, custom characters, and any flagged safety moments described above) at any time by contacting us at kol.eljra7.90@gmail.com, or by deleting your account directly in the app. Your child's profile information never reaches our servers in the first place, so deleting the app from a device removes it completely on that end.
Children's privacy
Hero Call is a tool for parents, not a service directed at children. A child never creates an account, signs in, or provides information to us directly — every call is started by a parent, and no child profile data (name, age, or anything else) ever leaves your device. The one exception is described above under "Voice calls": if our automated safety check flags a specific moment in a conversation as high-risk or an emergency, we retain the text of that moment so the parent can review it. This exists solely to protect the child in that moment and is never used for advertising, profiling, or any other purpose. If you'd like any retained flagged moment deleted, contact us at kol.eljra7.90@gmail.com.
